In the summer of 1979, while stuck in traffic driving a delivery truck for H.O. Provisions of Quincy, the idea of what was going to be D’Andrea Foods was formed. Michael D’Andrea came to the realization that HONESTY, INTEGRITY & SERVICE should not only look crafty on the sides of the delivery trucks, but also serve as the foundation and mission of what was to be D’Andrea Foods.
The idea of a food service supplier being small enough to pay attention to quality and customer service while at the same time big enough to offer incredible value is what drives the family of D’Andrea Foods today.
In 1998 D’Andrea Food acquired Oakdale Packing of East Bridgewater, and moved into a new facility. This made it possible to offer the final component that no other full line food service provider in New England can be a fresh meat U.S.D.A. manufacturing facility completely in house providing various cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and veal.
Currently D’Andrea Foods enjoys family-like business relationships with hundreds of restaurants, delicatessens, cafés, and markets spanning from Boston to Metro West to Cape Cod, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
The need for HONESTY, INTEGRITY, and SERVICE is what started this idea and it is what drives us on a day to day basis.
